Butler Fire Department "Firepup" Program

In a letter from the Butler Fire Department the FIREPUP program is asking for sponsors. The FIREPUP program specifically targets children. Those who sponsor will be contributing with the Butler Fire Department in providing fire safety education materials for children, safety fairs, public safety presentations, and fire stations.
These materials have been designed exclusively by the National Fire Safety Council, Inc., a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization. They offer age-specific 24 page activity manuals, pamphlets on smoke detectors, fire escapades, babysitter, badges, stickers and many other items used to teach the fundamentals of fire safety and burn prevention. The Butler Fire Department strongly believes by making children aware they can prevent tragic fire loss and death.
In order to help cover the cost of these materials the Butler Fire Department and National Fire Safety Council Inc. are turning to those in the community. They are asking you to consider sponsoring materials for the students in the community. Sponsor amounts rage from 20 children at $50 and 200 children at $500.
This is “provided as a public service by people who care.”
All tax-deductible checks should be made payable to National Fire Safety Council, Inc and mail to FIREPUP PROGRAM, Butler Fire Department at 701 Roberta in Butler. The department and council would like to thank those who donate in advance for their generous support of this program. Response to this program needs to be by July 7.
