St.Clair County Sheriff's Department: Breshia Grosso arrested on felony warrant

Breshia Grosso
On Tuesday, March 4, Breshia Grosso, 22, Webb City, was arrested on a felony St. Clair County warrant charging her with class C felony of possessing of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety. The warrant was issued on Jan. 22. The charge stems from an incident on Aug. 31, 2013 when a St. Clair County deputy was on patrol on C Highway and observed two people standing behind a vehicle on NW 651 Road, Lowry City. Contact was made with the individuals and it was learned the subjects were attending Wakefest, a weekend concert at Seven Rivers Resort near Talley Bend.
The report notes while observing Grosso, it appeared as though she was in an intoxicated condition or under the influence of a controlled substance. Identification was requested and Grosso stated she did not have one. She gave the deputy her name and social security number. A check of the information revealed Grosso gave a wrong social security number. She was advised she would be detained until identification could be made.
The deputy asked Grosso to turn around and place her hands behind her back. She did not comply and began to resist. She was brought under control, restrained and secured in the patrol vehicle for further investigation.
Contact was made with a female subject inside the vehicle who noted the vehicle was hers. Another deputy arrived on scene and consent to search the vehicle was obtained. A backpack was located in the rear seat that contained marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms. The backpack was identified as Grosso’s property. The drugs were seized. Grosso was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and released pending formal charges.
