“Miles of Memories” at the Montrose Festival

The Montrose Festival will be held May 22nd – May 24th, and the theme is “Miles of Memories”. Friday will feature Art Bentley, one man band, behind the Knight’s Hall. Saturday will start off with breakfast served by the VFW from 7:30 – 10:00 a.m. A 5K run, walk, jog starts at 7:30 a.m. and the Montrose Mile for ages 21 and over at 8:30.

The car show, bake sale, small engine display, food and craft booths will open at 9:00 a.m. The Diaper Derby is at 9:30 a.m. with the toddler swimsuit contest immediately following. Lo Snaps photo booths will provide 4 photos on a card at no charge 10:30 – 12:30 and 1:30 – 3:30.

There will be a bounce house, Sprinkles and Spangles the Clowns, face painting and pony rides for the kids throughout the day. The Osage Vigilantes will entertain with skits at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m. Dusti’s Dance Academy performs at 12:30. The Grand Parade begins at 1:00. Following the parade will be the fried chicken dinner from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Knight of Columbus Hall.

The Texas Hold’em tournament starts at 7:00 p.m. The band “Big MiJett” (Pat Brownsberger) will be playing for the street dance at 8:00 p.m. The Gutter Party Breakfast starts at midnight at the Knight’s Hall. On Sunday, community softball starts at noon and Town Team baseball at 6:00 p.m.
