Warrant issued for Osceola man

Thomas Timberlake
On May 4, two St. Clair County arrest warrants were issued for Thomas Timberlake, 55, Osceola, for failing to appear in court on a class C felony of assault on a law enforcement officer and a class D felony of resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing creating a substantial risk of serious injury/death to any person. Total bond is set at $2,000 cash only.

The charges stem from an incident in July 2014 when St. Clair County deputies assisted with a call regarding a vehicle failing to yield to the Osceola Police Department. The vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 13 in the southbound lanes. The driver, later identified as Timberlake, led law enforcement down several county roads and at one point turned the vehicle and attempted to run a deputy over with his car. The chase ended in the Red Rock Subdivision on NE 175 Road at his residence where he was taken into custody.
