Bates County Youth Advocacy Potato Day: Don’t Be a Dud! Buy a Spud!

If you like baked potatoes and homemade cookies, don’t miss the BCYAC Potato Day on Monday, November 9. For the price of $5.00, you can have a large, baked potato(choice of ham or chili), sour cream, a cookie and a water delivered to your home, business or school.

Deliveries will be made in Butler from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Lunchtime deliveries will be made in Rich Hill and Adrian. You must be within the city limits for delivery! You can also place pick-up orders. These can be picked up at the United Methodist Church, 205 W Ohio Street, Butler.

To get your potato feast, you can order between Friday, October 30 and Thursday, November 5. Call the Get Fit Gym in Butler at 660-200-2100 or place an email order at bcyouthadvocacycouncil@gmail.com. Cut off on orders is Thursday, November 5. Be sure and give location, time and a contact number for your delivery. Also make your choice of ham or chili.

There are a limited number of potatoes available, so “Don’t Be a DUD! Order a Spud!” Order forms will be delivered the week of November 2 to schools and businesses that have previously purchased from BCYAC.

Proceeds are used to finance BCYAC projects including: county-wide Advanced Placement classes(college credit) scholarships, two $500 scholarships for Bates County seniors enrolling in technical or trade school, the Butler Youth Center and the Pool Pals program. The BCYAC is a not-for-profit that provides programs and opportunities for the youth of Bates County.
