The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Pontiac driven by 38 year old Shelby L. Preston of Harrisonville, Missouri overtook and struck the rear of a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Aaron J. Starkebaum of Harrisonville, Missouri, which was yielding for traffic. After impact the Harley Davidson traveled off the right side of the roadway ejecting the driver.
Mr. Starkebaum sustained moderate injuries in this accident and was transported by ambulance to St. Luke's East Hospital in Lees Summit, Missouri.
Both vehicles received damage and was towed from the scene by GT Tow of Raytown, Missouri.
