Obituary - Versa Agee

Versa Agee
Versa Agee, 73, of rural Nevada, passed away Tuesday, November 3, after a lengthy illness at home. Versa was born on August 31, 1942, to Ted and Alice (McBeth) Olson, in Denver, Colorado. She was married to Dan Agee on June 5, 1965, in Aurora, CO and he survives of the home.

Versa was raised by her mother and step-father, Leland George (Bus) Backes. She graduated from high school in Aurora, CO, in 1960. She worked as a secretary for several companies and the American Legion Post #1 in Denver. Versa moved to Blue Springs, MO, in 1969, and worked for the IRS in Kansas City, MO, for over 30 years, retiring in 2004. Upon retirement Versa and Dan moved to their farm south of Nevada.

Versa was a member and secretary of Immanuel Baptist Church in Blue Springs, MO. She was a cake decorator and floral designer and furnished cakes and flowers for several friends and family weddings and other occasions. Versa was active in Cub and Boy Scouts. She enjoyed going with her family to car, truck and farm shows all over the country and hosting events at their farm. Her greatest pleasure was time spent with her grand-children.

In addition to her husband Dan, she is survived by and one son, Steve and his wife Carol, two grandsons, Daniel Zane and Levi Lake and one granddaughter Cami Ruth Ann Agee, all of Kingsville, MO. Several brothers, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Olson, Bus and Alice Backes.

At her request there will be no service at this time, but a “Celebration of Life” with family and friends will be announced at a later date.
