Two from Archie injured in bizzare Cass County crash

Around 1:20 p.m. this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a one vehicle accident on Route Y Southbound at County Road 233rd in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by 35 year old Stephanie M. Clinesmith of Archie, Missouri was being towed by another vehicle Southbound on Route Y when she lost control of the vehicle on a curve causing it to separate from the vehicle towing it.

The vehicle traveled off the roadway striking a stop sign and hitting a utility pole before coming to rest of the road.

Stephanie Clinesmith along with a passenger 37 year old Shaun M. Cox of Archie, Missouri were both transported by West Peculiar Fire to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The vehicle was towed from the scene by J's Southland Towing.
