Police searching for man wanted for theft of 22 head of cattle

On July 13, a St. Clair County warrant was issued for Randy Craig, 58, El Dorado Springs, charging him with class B felony stealing livestock with the value more than $10,000 and class C felony passing a bad check $500 or more. Bond is set at $20,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on June 13 when a deputy took a report on SE 1300 Road, Humansville, regarding cattle purchased with a bad check.

John Fox, manager of the United Producers Inc. livestock auction (Humansville Sale Barn) reported Craig purchased 22 head of cattle for $20,930.70 on June 7. Craig allegedly paid for the cattle using a check from an account that had insufficient funds.

Sheriff Keeler urges those with any information related to the location of Craig to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line, 417-646-5832, or email to tips@scsomo.org.
