Power outages widespread after morning storms

Midwest Lumber in Butler
received heavy damage from
storms this morning
According to KCP&L, around 6,000 homes lost power during storms that rolled through just after daybreak- locally affecting many in Bates, St. Clair, Henry and Vernon counties in Missouri; in Kansas, about 4,000 residents lost power in an area spanning around Bourbon, Linn and Miami counties. Crews are expected to be working the next few days to get the lights back on as soon as possible.
