Around 3:00pm this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with Henry County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a one vehicle motorcycle crash on Missouri Y Highway just South of NE 1100 Road in rural Henry County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2012 Yamaha driven by 54 year old Kevin E. Jones of Warrensburg, Missouri traveled off the roadway, overturned and ejected both occupants.
Mr. Jones as well as a passenger 53 year old Rebecca L. Akers of Warrensburg, Missouri both sustained moderate injuries in this accident.
Rebecca L. Akers was life flighted to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kevin Jones was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri.
The bike sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene by J's Southland Tow.
