On 8/19/16 around 7:00am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with the Henry County Sheriffs Office responded to a two vehicle accident involving a scooter on Missouri 7 Highway around 1 mile North of NW 1101 Road in rural Henry County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 50 CC Taotao Scooter driven by 47 year old Dennis R. Akins of Clinton, Missouri traveled into the path of the 2010 Chevrolet driven by 27 year old Zachary L. Danner of Windsor, Missouri.
Mr. Akins sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported to Belton Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The scooter was totaled and towed from the scene by Golden Valley Tow.
