The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1981 Yamaha YICS 500 driven by 55 year old Jesse E. Murray of Milo, Missouri struck a deer in the roadway.
Mr. Murray sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.
The bike received extensive damages and was removed from the scene by relatives of the driver.
