Updated Obituary - Lillian Viola (Bueker) Fricke

The funeral service for Mrs. Fricke will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Prairie City, Missouri. The minister officiating at the service will be Pastor Joel Meyer. 
 
Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. preceding the service. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Prairie City, Missouri. The family suggests memorial donations be made to either Zion Lutheran Church or Zion Lutheran Cemetery. 

Lillian Viola (Bueker) Fricke passed away peacefully on August 9, 2016 at Appleton City Manor. She was born May 16, 1920 in Corder, Missouri. One of four children born to Herman and Flora (Ostermeyer) Bueker, Lillian Graduated from Corder Public School in 1938 and then attended Molen College in St. Louis, Missouri.

Lillian was united in marriage to Louis Fricke on May 10, 1942 at Zion Lutheran Church in Corder, Missouri. To this union two children, Larry and Judith Ann were born. She and her family moved to Rockville, Missouri in January of 1948, where she served as the city clerk for 37 years. During this long employment she enjoyed visiting with her patrons while collecting utility bills every month. After many years in the Rockville area, Lillian moved to Appleton City to be near her daughter in 2009.


She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: E.M. Bueker, Clyde Wilburn Bueker, and Melvin Bueker, who gave his life on the beaches of Iwo Jima during World War II. Lillian leaves to mourn her two children: son Larry (Linda) Fricke and daughter Judith Ann Monard; grandchildren: Chadd Monard (Lana), Kisa Eye (Darrick), Adam Monard (Andrea), Jolie Harkins (Shawn), Kyle Fricke, Brad Sanders (Carrie); great-grandchildren: Lindsay, Kellan, and Dylan Eye, Aidan and Alexa Monard, Gavin, Garrett and Gracie Hilte, Ashley, Austin, and Addison Harkins, Nathan and Jaxon Fricke, Cami and Braeden Sanders; many nieces and nephews; along with many dear friends. Lillian will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
