Blue Bell recalling ice cream over listeria risk

(RNN) – Blue Bell is issuing a voluntary recall of two flavors of ice cream due to possible listeria.

Blue Bell Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Blue Bell Cookie Two Step flavors should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The ice cream flavors under recall were distributed from 10 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

The company says no illnesses have been reported but is recalling the product “out of an abundance of caution.”
