Drug arrest at Rich Hill Motel

Darrel Walls
On September 22, 2016 Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at the Apache Motel in Rich Hill, MO. The driver of the vehicle acted very nervous and was having a hard time trying to communicate with the Deputies.

When the driver retrieved her driver license out of the trunk of the vehicle, the Deputies observed several small clear plastic baggies in her purse. The baggies had a white powdery substance inside them. When the driver realized what she had just done she immediately tried to close her purse and place it back in the trunk of the car.

Heather Green
The Deputy field tested the substance in the baggies and if tested positive for methamphetamine. The driver, identified as Heather Green (DOB 9/15/1972) was then taken into custody. With the positive test for methamphetamine the Deputies then had probable cause to search the vehicle. Inside the vehicle the Deputies found a loaded syringe, 16 unused syringes, 1 used syringe, approximately 2.1 grams of marijuana, approximately 3.56 grams of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia.

Some of the items that were located were found underneath the passenger seat of the vehicle that had been occupied by Darrell Ralls (DOB 9/18/1959). Green stated that the items found under the passenger seat were not hers.

Heather Green was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and Unlawful use of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $15000.00 cash or surety.

Darrel Walls was charged with the same charges and his bond was also set at $15000.00 cash or surety.

Both subjects are currently in custody at the Bates County Jail.
