Cass Co. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has now activated the
Metro Squad to assist in the investigation of a female found deceased.
The Metro Squad brings investigative resources from numerous metro law
enforcement agencies.The Cass County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a death near I-49 and Peculiar Drive, approximately 2 miles north of Harrisonville.
Passerby discovered the body of a white female in the ditch between the southbound lanes of I-49 and Peculiar Drive around 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
The investigation into the identity of the victim is ongoing and will be released at a later time.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
