Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to services from 1-2 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions to American Cancer Society.
Marie Plasmyer, age 78 of Butler, Missouri died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born June 23, 1938 to Curry and Mary Ellen Scanlan Barnes.
Marie is survived by three sons, Curry Massey and wife Linda of Butler, Missouri, David Massey and wife Donna of Olathe, Kansas and Mike Massey and wife Melissa of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Cindy Weiss and husband Robert of Liberty, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Obert and husband Fred of Lockwood, Missouri; one brother, Kenny Barnes of Kansas City, Missouri; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred in March of 2014; and one brother, Earl Barnes in 2000.
