 Martha Lou Evins
Martha Lou Evins, 86, Belton, Missouri, died Monday, September 26, 2016 at Beautiful Savior Home in Belton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29 at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Missouri with burial in Glenwild Cemetery, Cleveland. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Martha was born May 10, 1930 in Trail, Missouri, the daughter of Cara and Elizabeth Rose Poe. She was a 1953 graduate of Willow Springs, Missouri High School and married Cleve O. Evins on December 13, 1953 in Pomona, Missouri.

Martha moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1953 until moving to Cleveland, Missouri in 1960. She moved to Drexel, Missouri in 2005 to take care of her daughter, returning to Cleveland in 2008. Martha was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, the Cleveland Lions Club, and she was a long-time election judge in Cleveland. She also worked at the Cleveland Corner Convenience Store for many years.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, five brothers, one son, Glen, one daughter, Sue Harris, and her husband of 47 years, Cleve, on April 18, 2000. She is survived by one son, James (Nora) Evins, Belton, Missouri; one brother, James Weatherwax, Willard, Missouri; son-in-law, Tim Harris, Drexel, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Anthony Evins, Andrew Evins (Jesse), Stephanie Harris, Timothy Harris, II; 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
