Well, almost...

Social media lit up Saturday when it was announced at Kauffman Stadium that Pauline Morrow of Butler was a contender in the sixth inning Sonic Slam contest that could put as much as $25,000 in the pocket of a happy fan.

While Morrow didn't win the big bucks, she did score (no pun intended) two Hyvee seat tickets and a $10 Sonic gift card. Another bonus was witnessing a win for the Royals, 3 to 2 over the Chicago White Sox.

Ironically, a home run in the six inning did happen on the following day...
