$1 million in meth averted from entering Missouri

11 pounds of methamphetamine (street value almost 1 million

dollars) was headed to our region- but fortunately, didn't make it. 

Carmalia Bautista, 29, of Corcoran, CA was pulled over during a routine traffic stop in Texas when officers, using a drug sniffing dog, found several packages inside of the spare tire.

Investigators say the shipment was headed to an undisclosed location in the Show Me state.

Currently Bautista is incarcerated in the city of Panhandle, TX at the Carson County jail on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance.
