Nevada woman escapes injury in Barton County crash

On 10/19/16 around 12:40pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Barton County responded to a two vehicle accident on Southbound I-49 around 3 miles South of Lamar. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2005 Jeep Liberty driven by 62 year old Janice A. Rawlings of Nevada, Missouri was stopped on the shoulder of the highway due to heavy rainfall when she was struck in the rear by the 2005 Honda Accord driven by 73 year old Kathleen G. Wilson of West Hills, California.

A passenger in Kathleen G. Wilson's vehicle 78 year old Carol Standley of Lamar, Missouri sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported to Barton County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Both vehicle sustained moderate damages.
