Velma Stickley
Velma was born on June 4, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was 78 years old when she passed away at her home in Clinton, Mo., October 5, 2016.

Velma was the daughter of Virgil and Iva (Gee) Kellough, who both have preceded her in death.

She had eight children. Oldest to youngest, Virgil "Gene" Hilburn, Bates City, Mo.; his child, Kristopher and Heather Hilburn, their four children, Sibley, Mo.; Douglas and Donna Hilburn, Bates City, Mo.; their three children, Clifford and Tammy Hilburn, two children, Odessa, Mo., Donald and Heidi Hilburn, two children of New Bern, North Carolina, Isaac and Linda Hilburn, two children of Odessa, Mo.; Teresa O'Dell of Camden, Mo.; her five children, William and Tia Weber, three children, Richmond, Mo., Daniel and Christina Weber, five children, Richmond, Mo., Michael and Carrie Weber, three children of Richmond, Mo., Matishia Weber, four children of Richmond, Mo., Laurina and Jeff Carter, two children, Richmond, Mo., one step-daugher, Betty O'Dell, Lexington, Mo.; Richard and Christina Hilburn, Odessa, Mo., three children, Richard Hilburn, Jr., Odessa, Mo., Lucas Hilburn, Odessa, Mo., Elijah and Stephanie Hilburn, Marshall, Mo., and seven grandchildren; Russell and Jo Dee Hilburn, Odessa, Mo., six children, Allen Hilburn, Odessa, Mo., Bryan and Ashley Hilburn, Odessa, Mo., Stormy Hilburn, Sibley, Mo., Mindee and Jason Snyder, Marlee Pointer, Independence, Mo., Matthew and Sarah Williams, Liberty, Mo., twelve grandchildren; Robin and Mike Holcomb, Albany, Mo., their children, Regina Eichler and the late Jim Eichler, three children of Warrensburg, Mo., David Harding, Jr., one child, Stanberry, Mo., two step-children, Kim and Roger Alan, Grant City, Mo., Samantha Greenwell, Albany, Mo.; Irma Straisinger, Clinton, Mo., three children, Jacklyn Murry, Kayla and Ryan Decker, Heather Straisinger, five grandchildren of Clinton, Mo.; Roy Joel Strainsinger, II, Leeton, Mo., his four children, Chrystal Straisinger, Sedalia, Mo., Isiah, Leeton, Mo., five grandchildren.

Velma leaves behind a large family, including three brothers, Gene Kellough, Leonard Kellough, Allen and Janice Kellough; three sisters, Joyce Wolfe, Louise Welker, and Lucille and Pierce McBride; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Roy Joel Straisinger and Leroy Stickley; one brother, Leo Kellough; two sisters-in-law, Dottie Kellough and Susie Cuszic; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Wolfe and Jim Welker; two sons-in-law, Charles O'Dell and Teddy Hoover; one daughter- in-law, Doreen Straisinger; and one great-grandson, Christian Joel.
Graveside services and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, Mo. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband Roy Straisinger. 

Following the graveside service, at 2:00 p.m., a celebration of life memorial will be at the Buckner Park Pavilion, Buckner, Mo. Also at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, a celebration of life memorial will be held at the Antioch Hills Apartment Community Room #2 in Clinton, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, Mo.

All her children wish to come together and thank everyone for all your love, support, and prayers. For on this day we shall stand together as we honor our Mothers Love and Memory.
