Ft. Scott Kansas man seriously injured in semi truck wreck in Southern Missouri

On 11/18/16 around 3:05am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Wright County responded to a three vehicle accident involving two semi trucks on U.S. 60 Highway just East of Norwood, Missouri which is east of Springfield, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2007 Kenworth driven by 57 year old Donald K. Watt of Welda, Kansas lost control of his vehicle and struck the westbound 2007 Mercury Mariner driven by 41 year old Christina Pugh of Springfield. Mr Watt then over corrected and overturned causing the 2005 Kenworth driven by 38 year old James Chapman of Ft. Scott, Kansas to strike the trailer of the overturned semi.

Donald K. Watt sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.

Christina Pugh sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.

James Chapman sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.

All three vehicles received extensive damages and all were towed from the scene by Mansfield Tow.
