MoDOT Seeking Emergency Snow Plow Operators Apply at Local MoDOT Maintenance Facility

MoDOT, Southwest District – MoDOT is seeking emergency snow plow operators to help MoDOT’s fulltime snow plow crews clear state roads of ice and snow during the coming winter months, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Those interested in applying for the positions must meet the following qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status, either Excepted Interstate (ERI) or Non-Excepted Interstate (NI) 
Those hired as emergency snow plow operators perform routine, entry-level duties which include removing ice and snow from state roadways. Those successful candidates use MoDOT provided equipment to do the work. Emergency operators are directly supervised by the local MoDOT maintenance facility supervisor or their designee. The emergency snow plow operator is an on call position and hours are not guaranteed. 

The hourly rate for emergency snow plow operators ranges from $14.10 to $15.94 an hour.
