Nevada Police Department Conduct Kidnapping Investigation

Nevada Police Department have concluded an investigation in regards to a kidnapping that occurred on Saturday, November 26, 2016

On 11/26/16 on-duty Nevada Patrol officers were summoned to Wal Mart Super Center 2250 Lincoln Ave, for a reported kidnapping.
Nevada Police went to the location to conduct an investigation on the allegations. Once on scene officer were able to determine that three juvenile ages ranging from 4 years old to 9 years old had been physically taken from their father, by their grandparent. 

Report concluded that a verbal argument had occurred between the adults and without permission the grandparents grabbed the children, entered their vehicle and sped away, heading toward Arkansas.

Officers immediately notified communications and a stop and hold on the vehicle was placed. A short time later MSHP trooper located and stopped the vehicle in Jasper County Missouri south bound I-49.

The children were taken into protective custody, the driver and passenger were taken into custody. Jasper County Juvenile Officers were summoned and the children were later released to the father.
The driver and passenger were identified and charged through the Vernon County Circuit Courts as follows:
  • Roy W Johnson, age 50 of Gateway Ark, Child Abduction D Felony
  • Rhonda J. Johnson, age 47 Of Gateway Ark, Child Abduction D Felony
