Obituary - Donald Edward Garwood

Donald Edward Garwood
Don was born and raised near Nevada, Missouri. He attended Bethel School through eighth grade and graduated from Nevada High School, Class of 1956.

In 1958, Don wed Ann Eastland of Rich Hill. Don and Ann lived in Wichita, Kansas, where Don was employed with Boeing for twelve years and was a member of the machinists’ union. During this time, Don and Ann’s two children were born. In 1971, the couple moved their family to the Phoenix area where Don was employed as a union carpenter until his retirement in 2003.

It was his nature as well as part of his Christian faith that he would devote more time in retirement to helping others in need and assisting his church family in any way he could, contributing his substantial skills as a carpenter. He was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church in Avondale, Arizona.

Don passed away on November 12 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and May Garwood, and brother Wilbur Garwood.
