Eugene "Gene" H. Peak, age 82, of Kansas City, KS, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at his home.
Gene was born March 14, 1934 to Delbert F. Peak and Lois “Robertson” Peak of Foster, MO. After graduating from high school, he attended Technical school for a few years. Gene married Ruby Joan Yarick on September 24, 1955. A little over a year later, Gene enlisted in the United States Air Force on November 28, 1956. He served for 4 years, 8 months and 28 days. After his discharge, Gene came home and went to work as a Millwright for Colgate Palmolive. He worked there until his retirement. Gene was a member of the Kansas City #220 Masonic Lodge, the Trinity Community Church and alumni of NOMADS.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home; three children, Rebecca L. (Gary) Robinett, Michael E. (Teresa) Peak and Patricia J. (David) Burger; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Earl) Grandstaff, Melisa Robinett, Geriad Robinett, Jennifer (Ashley) Sewell, Morgan Fletchall, Brenndan Deffendall and Olivia Santoyo; three great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kalynn and Jacob; and a brother, Wayne (Ruby) Peak.
The family will receive visitors at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Bristol Hill United Methodist Church in Kansas City, KS. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. An Inurnment will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.
The family has requested that In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Hill United Methodist Church, Kansas City #220 Masonic Lodge or ALS, and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.
