Stolen vehicle leads to three arrests in Bates County

On 10-24-2016 Bates County Sheriff’s Deputy received a call for service at 2470 NE County Road 14002 Adrian in regards to a stolen vehicle. A white in color 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab. 

Later that day Bates County Deputy observed that stolen vehicle driving north bond on I-49 just south of Butler. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.


The deputy approached the vehicle and observed three subjects in the vehicle. All subjects were identified as, the driver Brittaney N.Killham, front seat passenger William A. Roberts, and the back seat passenger Stacy A. Mcmahon. All subjects were arrested and transported to the Bates County Jail.

The Deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a small amount of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.


Charged were:
  • Brittaney Killman DOB 02-08-1986 of Belton had an active warrant out of Bates County for Possession of methamphetamine a class C felony Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia a class A misdemeanor. Bond was set at $12,500.00 cash or surety. An additional warrant was issued for Brittaney Killman for Tampering with a motor vehicle in the 1st degree a class C felony. Possession of marijuana a class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $10,000.00 cash or surety.
  • William Roberts 08-12-1974 of Harrisonville charged with Tampering with motor vehicle in the 1st degree a class C felony. Possession of methamphetamine a class A felony. Unlawful use of drug paraphernal class A misdemeanor. Bond set $25,000.00 cash or surety.
  • Stacy Mcmahon DOB 03-09-1977 of Harrisonville charged with Possession of methamphetamine a class A Felony. Unlawful use of drug paraphernal class A misdemeanor. Bond set $12,500.00 cash or surety.
