Update: House fire in Butler last night

On Monday, May 23, 2017 at 7:23 p.m. the Butler Fire Department was dispatched to the corner of Walnut and Mechanic for a structure fire. 

Units arrived on scene and found heavy fire in the front room of a vacant residence. 

The fire was extinguished with damage throughout the structure. Units were released from the scene at 8:39 p.m. 

Butler Fire received mutual aid assistance from Adrian Fire Department. Cause of the fire was undetermined. There were no injuries.
