Chances of pop-up storms today

Most of you along and south of I-70 are waking to a little light rain this morning...that is, if by some reason you are up this early! This light rain will dissipate by 8am-9am however, there will be the chance for showers and thunderstorms to develop again this afternoon. 

Any storms that do develop will not be severe however, lightning and brief heavy downpours will be possible. 

Otherwise, expect highs in the mid to upper 80s. Beyond today, the area looks dry until Thursday night/Friday.
