The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1984 Honda Goldwing Motorcycle driven by 61 year old Daniel R. Porterfield of Clinton, Missouri had a equipment malfunction and traveled off the roadway and vaulted over a intersection becoming airborne before ejecting the rider.
Mr. Porterfield sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
The bike was totaled and towed from the scene by Tolliver's Tow.
