From the Nevada Police Department

Summer time is upon us with that, we are seeing an increase in thefts and property damage calls for service.

We would like to remind everyone to lock your cars and not to leave anything of value inside of them. Such examples are; purses, wallets, firearms, electronics, and money.

Also, this time of year brings an increase in bicycle thefts. If possible, we would recommend securing your bicycle to a fixed object or bringing it inside when not in use.

We also recommend keeping a record of serial numbers to valuable pieces of property that belong to you. If the items don't have a identifying number a photograph is also a great way to keep inventory of valuable property.

If you see suspicious activity please contact us to investigate further.

If you have any questions in regards to crime prevention feel free to call us at 417-448-5100 and ask to speak to an officer.
