Joplin Police Department looking for missing juvenile

 James "David" Barnes

The Joplin Police Department is currently trying to locate James "David" Barnes, white male, 16 years old, described as 6’ tall, weighs approximately 135 lbs, and has black hair and hazel eyes. He was involved in a vehicle crash just after midnight last night at 36th and Range Line. He and the other occupants left the accident on foot, possibly into the woods. 

The three other occupants were located. We are concerned about his well being due to being in the accident and possibly being injured. 

Officers searched the area last night and are searching again this morning. Barnes is not wanted for any crimes, we simply want to locate him and ensure he is ok. If you have any information on his whereabouts please contact us 417-623-3131.
