Lowry City female arrested on felony drug charge

 Vicky Rounds
On June 2, Vicky Rounds, 57, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class D felony possession of a controlled substance, class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

The warrant was issued on May 31 and bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation on May 1 when a deputy was contacted by an off-duty Missouri Department of Conservation Agent in reference to a possibly intoxicated female subject who had drove her vehicle off the roadway on C Highway near the ZZ Highway intersection.

The deputy arrived on scene and made contact with Rounds who appeared to be intoxicated and admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving her boyfriend's Chrysler minivan to the location. Rounds was taken into custody and transported her to the St. Clair County Jail.

While being booked in, jail staff located a pill bottle in her purse containing a green leafy substance with a smell and appearance consistent with marijuana. Also in this pill bottle were 49 pills. The pills were identified as six 6 different types including Diazepam, Hydrocodone, Soma, and three other types of Alprazolam pills.
