Rockville man arrested in St. Clair County

On June 14, Clinton Oehring, 26, Rockville, was arrested on two outstanding felony warrants, one from St. Clair County and one from Cass County.

The warrant from St. Clair County was issued on June 1 for a probation violation on an original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance and class D felony resisting arrest for a felony. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charges stem from an incident on Aug. 16, 2016 when St. Clair County deputies were on patrol on H Highway and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Oehring was driving. When contact was first made with Oehring he identified himself as another individual. During the investigation a clear glass container with residue inside that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in his possession. 

While being taken into custody, Oehring fled on foot and was taken into custody after a short chase. A bag with a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine was also located in the vehicle.

The warrant from Cass County was issued on May 15 for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of receiving stolen property. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.
