Search Warrant Following Nevada Police Investigation Results In Drug Arrest

On June 16, 2017 Nevada Police took one subject into custody following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of North Hoffman Street.

Nevada Police had responded to this location on June 5, 2017 for a reported disturbance at the residence. 

During that investigation, officers discovered suspected illegal narcotics and items commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.

Officers seized the suspected illegal narcotics which are being sent to the MSHP lab for analysis.

Since the incident on June 5th, Nevada Police continued to develop information that illegal narcotic distribution was continuing at this location, leading Nevada Police to obtain a search warrant for this residence.

On June 16th officers executed a search warrant at the suspect residence for illegal narcotics. During the search warrant officers again located suspected illegal narcotics inside the home along with suspected drug paraphernalia.

Nevada Police took one suspect into custody identified as follows:

Robert D. Griffith, age 25 of Nevada.

Griffith was transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding. The Vernon County Associate Court has filed the following charges on Griffith:

Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Felony

A bond was set at $10,000 cash only.
