The boy, 14, was swimming at Ruark Bluff Beach. That is southeast of Stockton. Troopers say the teen went under the water around 6:30 p.m. Friday evening and never resurfaced.
His body was found shortly before 10 p.m. His name isn't being released until family is notified.
