Mike was born July 2nd 1973 in Independence MO. Mike moved to the Adrian area at the age of thirteen with his parents and two siblings. Mike's first job was in the fourth grade at a Lawn Mower shop. It was this job that began his passion for tinkering and fixing things. There was not anything that Mike could not fix. When he was seventeen he began working at the Starter and Alternator shop in Passiac.

Mike eventually started roofing and traveling with his brother Frank Brawley. When Mike was nineteen years old he met Lori Finklang, who he later married and fathered two children with. Mike's purpose in life was always providing for his family. In his early thirties Mike accomplished acquiring his Class A CDL, which transitioned him into truck driving. For a number of years Mike and Lori owned their own successful business, hauling rock out of Adrian Rock Quarry.

Mike eventually moved to over the road hauling and eventually moved back to hauling locally up until the time of his death. Mike was a man of many hobbies, from guitar playing to fishing, and being “Mr. Fix-it”, he avidly enjoyed motorcycles and ATV riding. Those that knew him would commonly see him out and about on his four wheelers and motor cycles. Mike always had a joke to tell and could bring a smile to anyone.
