| Leonard "Lenny" Davis |
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Wheeler Davis and his father Leonard Davis.
Lenny served in the Army and National Guard for 13 years.
He worked for 23 years for the Indiana Department of Transportation as a Supervisor before moving to the Kansas City area. He was an over the road Truck Driver for many years.
He is survived by his daughter Tonya Arnold (Jay), son Derrick Weiand (Jessica), stepson Russell Barr, San Francisco, CA, stepdaughters: Katherine Hansen, Atchison, KS, Angela Barr, Mission, KS, grandchildren Morgan Davis, Amber Spradley, Nova and Ember Butler; 4 siblings, Gwen Bolin, Lafayette, Indiana, Michael Davis, Attica, Indiana, Jim (Lori) Davis, Pine Village, Indiana, Greg (Glenda) Davis, Monticello, Indiana; other relatives and friends.
Lenny enjoyed being with family, loved the outdoors spending time fishing and hunting but most of all had a great passion for car racing. He was always there if you needed help or just an ear to listen.
We will greatly miss him but take comfort in knowing he is free from the tremendous pain he felt toward the end.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with Military Honors to follow.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
