Update: Two arrested after pursuit ends in Bates County

On 7/10/17 around 11:39am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with assistance of the Bates County Sheriff's Office attempted to pull over silver in color 2003 Nissan 350z sports car on I-49.


The vehicle failed to yield for officer and a pursuit was initiated on West 52 Highway and eventually down Route K Highway west of Butler.

The vehicle tried to back track towards the interstate but was unsuccessful after hitting spike strips in the roadway and crashing through a yard and ditch at the intersection of Missouri 52 West and Wright Road.

The driver of the vehicle 27 year old Nathan D. Libertus of Cassville, Missouri along with a passenger 46 year old Lisa M. Farmer both sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
