The Lamar Police Department is excited to announce the deployment of a new K9 Unit. Office Toby Luce and K9 Hondo will hit the streets to help serve the needs of the community.
Officer Luce began his police career in the early 90’s as an officer with the City of Lamar, eventually becoming a K9 handler. Officer Luce re-joins the Lamar Police Department after taking some time to work for the school district and the Barton County Sheriff’s Department.
Hondo is a six-year-old Belgian Malinois, certified in Narcotics Detection, Article search, and tracking through the North American Police Dog Association.
