She enjoyed sewing and cooking as well as gardening and canning.
She also loved spending time with her numerous grandchildren. In earlier years, she had attended the Pawnee United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Raymond Chaplin and wife, Ellen, of Ft. Scott; two daughters, Dorothy Wiggans and husband, Richard, of Springdale, Arkansas and Donn Chaplin, of Ft. Scott; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Everett, preceded her in death on February 9, 2016. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers, seven sisters, a half-brother and a half-sister.
Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 7th at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Osaga Cemetery west of Fulton, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
