After receiving a tip that 39 year old Ian McCarthy who is accused of killing Clinton Police Officer Gary Michael on Sunday evening around 10:45pm may be held up in a house
Reports are that police is searching Every car that goes through Chilhowee and surrounding areas at this time.
Chilhowee is on lock down, but Johnson County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office said they cannot give out any information on why at this time. Chilhowee is approximately 22 miles north of Clinton.
If you know his whereabouts or see this suspect please call 911 immediately.

A White male subject was found in 2000 white dodge flat bed in Chilhowee near County Road SW1101 rd. Not the subject. Per mshp. Slim details now but it was not subject that is wanted for murder out of Clinton mo. - Courtesy of David True

The Missouri State Highway Patrol with assistance of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office are currently in Chilhowee in Johnson County searching for 39 year old Ian McCarthy at this time. The MSHP is said to of received a tip of Mr. McCarthy possibly in a house off of Missouri Street and Spruce in Chilhowee. He isn't in custody at this time and please was remind the public to please call 911 if you see or know the whereabouts of him.Mid America Live News will update with any and all updates when they become available
