Vehicle found teetering on edge of bridge in Bates County

At 10:36 a.m. Thursday, August 3 the Butler Fire Department was called to assist Bates County EMS, Bates County Sheriff and Missouri State Highway Patrol for a report of a vehicle going off of a bridge. 

Upon arrival to the scene the vehicle was found teetering on the edge of the bridge. 

The vehicle was secured and the patient was located on the edge of the water about 40 feet below the bridge. 

The patient was rescued and transported by Bates County EMS to the Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
