Upon arrival, flames were seen emitting from the roof of the residence. The fire was extinguished. The residence suffered serious damage and was considered a total loss.
No one was at the residence at the time of the fire. No one was injured while battling the fire. The cause of the fire in under investigation by the Harrisonville Police and Fire Departments. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
Donations for the family are being accepted tonight (12/15/2017) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on 12/16/2017 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene (2305 E. South Street).
