Harley was in the Air force from 1960-64. He was a missile technician on the Minute Man Missile at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He was a journeyman carpenter, mil wright, and maintenance man. He graduated from Missouri Southern State College with a degree in accounting. Harley worked at the State Building in St. Joseph, MO and at Long Arm in Butler, MO where he retired.
In addition to his wife Bonnie he is survived by his step-children, Bill Gilkey (Laura) Nevada, Ronda Tillman (Bruce), Independence, MO; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers; one sister; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Ft. Scott National Cemetery.
