Obituary - Marjorie Lea Lewis

Funeral services for Marjorie Lea Lewis will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. 

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Westpoint Cemetery, Amsterdam, Missouri.

Marjorie Lea Lewis, age 86 of Amsterdam, Missouri died Monday, February 12, 2018 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. She was born September 24, 1931 to Roy Edward and Eva Caroline Kersting McClanahan in Caney, Kansas.

Marjorie is survived by three sons, Richard Lee Lewis and wife Kathy and Charles William Lewis and wife Carol, all of Amsterdam, Missouri and Roy Wallis Lewis and fiance` Karen Higgs of Adrian, Missouri; two daughters, Carolyn Loraine Bridges and husband Mike and Cathryn Sue Slattery and husband Dennis all of Amsterdam, Missouri; one sister, Mary Straw of Ward, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren, Chad Lewis and significant other Michelle Blossom-Scheele, Christy DeBruin and husband Rick, Andy Lewis, Carrie Wilson, Kyle Lewis and wife Megan, Kelsey Dean and husband Phillip, Chris Bridges and wife Heather, Evan Bridges and Ashley Jacquinot, Darren Bridges and wife Nikki, Austin Bridges and wife Taylor Swezey, Ryan Slattery and Cassy VanGilder, Jenna Slattery and fiance` Matthew George, Caitlin Slattery, Megan Lewis, Rian Lewis, Zachary Lewis and Clay Mellgren and wife Therese; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Lewis in 2015; one brother, Dale McClanahan; one sister, Dorcas Baugh; and one grandson, Jared Slattery.
