Kansas child dies after accident on motorized mini-bike in Linn County

The Kansas State Highway Patrol says a 11-year-old boy died Sunday when a motorized mini-bike he was riding was hit by a pickup truck.

The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred Sunday afternoon around 1:36pm around 7 miles west of Prescott in Linn County when the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 21 year old Robert L. Brown of Hume, Missouri struck the 2018 49 cc mini bike driven by 11 year old Kayden Blaes Samyn of Mound City, Missouri.

Kayden Blaes Samyn was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and he was transported to Frontier Forensics.

Mr. Brown wasn't injured in this accident.
