Obituary - Jean Loving

Jean Loving On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, Jean Loving, widow of Buck Loving, passed away. We lost the woman who was grandmother to three, sister to two, great grandmother to one, aunt to two, mother-in-law to two, and for three lucky people, our mom. With her death we all lost our cheerleader and the woman who taught by example.

Mother led a long, healthy life, filled with a variety of experiences. She was the PTA mom who made all the meetings, the Den Leader who helped shape young lives. She was the wife who always had a home cooked meal on the table, and the friend whose door was always open.

Whether laughing with friends and family, or caring for loved ones, Jean was always there, always concerned for the people in her life. Many knew her from her 20+ years in the Treasurer's office, working first for Kenny Swan and then Phil Couch. Others knew her from her involvement with the First Christian Church, and still others from her years in sorority and bridge club.

All knew her as the warm hearted, kind woman who graced our lives. So, if you knew Jean, take a moment and remember the ways she touched your life. The times you laughed with her, confided in her, did something fun with her. She would have liked that. She worried for people, and she rooted for people. Most of all, she cheered for her family. Our cheerleader is gone, the woman who even in her final stages of Alzheimer's had lessons to teach.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Lyle Chaulis officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Butler in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
